By the time of the vote on the initiative in November 2020, the cleanup bill AB2257 had already replaced labor code section 2750.3, which was the original AB5. (AB2257 was signed into law in September 2020 and is labor code 2775-2785 .) Prop 22 is codified in the Business and the Professions Code, not the Labor Code.
